Fish On Wharf
Half a ton of blue cod and groper was sold to the public at Lyttelton yesterday in the lunch hour. It fetched Is 6d a pound. The Tuhoe, a former coastal vessel now engaged in the line fishing, came into Lyttelton from the Mernoo Bank to have a faulty echo sounder repaired. The balance of her cargo, approximately a ton, has been sold to a Christchurch wholesaler.
