DUNEDIN, March 19.
In its take-over bid for Crystal Ice Company Ltd., of Dunedin, General Foods Corporation (N.Z.), Ltd., is offering Crystal shareholders three General Foods shares for two Crystal shares.
This was announced today by the directors of Crystal
Crystal directors said that the take-over offer would be sent to shareholders by General Foods between April 2 and 5.
After Crystal shareholders have received the General Foods offer, Crystal directors will send a statement to shareholders giving their recommendations on the offer. The final date for the acceptance of the General Foods offer is May 9. On the Dunedin Stock Exchange today, Crystal shares sold at 25s and General Foods shares changed hands at 15s.
Before the take-over bid was announced Crystal Ice shares sold at Dunedin on Wednesday at 19s 3d.
