LAKESIDE RED CROSS
Donations totalling £3O were made to various appeals by the Lakeside subcentre of the Red Cross last year. Members assisted at a market day appeal in Christchurch, and helped a familyin the district who lost their possessions in a fire. In a house-to-house canvass for funds, members raised £2B This was reported by the secretary of the sub-centre (Mrs M. Hampton) at the recent annual meeting. Officers elected were: president, Mrs A. Chambers; secretary, Mrs M. Hampton: treasurer, Mrs A C Lambie
