Reid’s 60th Today
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 12. It is certain that the New Zealand cricket captain, J. R. Reid, will reach 60 in the third test against South Africa tomorrow —60 appearances for New Zealand.
Reid has played in more tests than any other New Zealand cricketer. B. Sutcliffe made 42 appearances.
In the present team only S. N. McGregor (29 appearances) come anywhere near Reid. The Auckland test will be Reid's 56th in succession.
