ANNE FRANK
The Austrian Ministry of the Interior has investigated a 52-year-old policeman, Karl Silberbauer, who was suspended from after he was found to have had a part in the arrest of Anne Frank in 1944. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl whose diary, compiled while hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam became a bestseller when published after her death in Belsen concentration camp at the age of 14.—Vienna, February 16.
