Precarious Wins Well

(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, February 16. Precarious finished strongly from the rear of the field to win the Rangitikel Cup at the Rangitikel Racing Club's meeting at Bulls on Saturday. Precarious beat the favourite, Commodore Roberts, decisively, with Pale Face, which went into the lead with five furlongs to go, weakening to third ahead of Ruato and Harvest Moon. There was. a good finish to the Mangatapu Handicap with Grazioso winning narrowly from the faster finishing Star of Kildare. Waitaha and Tahi deadheated for third.
