N.Z. TRADE MISSION
Return To N. America (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 16. A selling group of the New Zealand Manufactureins’ Federation is to return to North America in May and June, the federation president (Mr G. S. Amos) said yesterday. “This will enable members to be in Vancouver during the trade fair to be held there from May 13 to 21,” he said. The New Zealand trade mission to the area in 1963 was a success. Its official report said that lhe market offered considerable potential for many products. Using Goodwill Mr Amos said that the full scale trade mission created a favourable image in the host countries. The further approach to the new market would make use of this goodwill. Mr Amos said that, as in all previous trade missions, members of the group would pay their own way and contribute to the over-all cost, including the services of a secretary. “The aim of the group will be to sell their products. The members will be ready and able to negotiate firm orders on the spot The enthusiastic ‘get out and sell’ approach, which is most essential for the future of this country’s exports, will be used,” he said.
