INDONESIAN AIR FORCE

Warning Given On Ability (N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, February 13. The Indonesian Air Force should not be under-estimat-ed, even though it did not at present have the discipline or quality of the R.A.F. and allied forces at present, said Air Marshal Sir Hector McGregor, commander-in-chief, Far East Air Force, at Napier today.

“The Indonesian Air Force has some capability now, and I am sure it would be wrong not to expect those capabilities to grow,” he said. The Indonesians did not have the “quality or discipline” of the Allied air forces. “But they are equipped with some modern aircraft, including Ul6s and MiG 215,” he said.
