1lb 3oz Baby In Sydney
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Feb. 12. A baby girl weighing lib 3oz born at the Sydney Women's Hospital yesterday was still living today. Doctors believe her birth weight is a record low for The baby, bom four months prematurely, is in a “humidicrib” under a 24-hour watch. A doctor said tonight that it was surprising the baby had survived more than 24 hours. If she survives six weeks, her chances for complete survival should be very good, he said. A Brisbane baby, 11b 7oz at birth, is now six months old.
