Bargain Sale Policed
Bargain hunters queuing for a sale in a woman’s wear shop to High street on Wednesday morning were supervised by four policemen—two constables and two policewomen. The queue stretched for more than 50 yards. One policewoman made sure that entry to the shop was made in orderly fashion, thus preventing possible injury to small women customers by bigger ones. The other policewoman prevented pushing arid queue-jumping by those towards the rear. The two constables kept clear the entrances to other shops.
