19 MAORIS TO TOUR

Adelaide Arts Festival Show (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, February 13. The former "Miss New Zealand,” Maureen Kingi—now Mrs John Waaka—will be among a party of 19 Rotorua Maori artists who will perform at the Adelaide Festival of Arts next month. When the party arrives in Adelaide there will be a mayoral reception at the Town Hall. Led by Guide Kiri and managed by Mr Benny Levin, the group will include the mother and four sisters of the entertainer, Howard Mornson,- and other specially selected artists and will perform for one week at the festival. The direction and rehearsals will be under Mr S Mitchell, who organised the Maori entertainment for the Thai Royal visit to Rotorua in 1062. The party will leave Rotorua on March 15. It will do a three-week tour of New Zealand when it returns.

Britons who send their clothes to the laundry with banknotes in the pockets have little chance of getting their money back. A Bank of England bulletin says modern detergents wash the notes “whiter than white” and the ink ruins the clothes as well.
