Sir,—l too should like to see something done before Indonesia lands in New Zealand.—Yours, etc., D.T. January 6. 1964. Sir, —I think that the best thing for Australia and New Zealand to do in the present circumstances is to try to get the United Nations to use its influence on President Soekamo of Indonesia. If a person of unstable mentality runs amuck and tries to kill everybody at hand we usually put him away for a while and give him psychotherapy. We cannot always do that with our leaders, but we can ask the rest of the world through the United Nations to help us in humouring the wayward boys of international politics back into a more reasonable frame of mind. If President Soekarno did take Oceania, would he be able to hold us. even with the help of China? I think not.—Yours, etc. READER. January 6, 1964.
