SEARCH ON RIVER
No Trace Of
Two Men

INVERCARGILL Dec. 16. Two unsuccessful jet boat searches were made on the Waiau river today from the mouth to the Clifden bridge and on the Redcliffs-Monowai stretch for two Invercargill men who are believed drowned.
William Hoffman, aged 32, of Tanner street, and Geoff Sly, aged 32, of Ness street, failed to rendezvous with a third man when fishing opposite the Redcliffs station on Sunday afternoon. The search will continue tomorrow.
