Escaped From Courthouse

HAMILTON, December 16. Alex Kohitu Rawiri, aged 17, who escaped from custody at the Hamilton Courthouse this morning, was arrested this afternoon. Two civilians who recognised him as he was walking near Hamilton lake, telephoned the police. Constable A. Gyde took Rawiri into custody. He offered no resistance.
Rawiri escaped shortly after he had been remanded for theft and car conversion.
