SHOP BURNT OUT
Blaze In Ferry Road An upholstery shop at 212 Ferry road was burnt out about 9 pm. on Wednesday Firemen in two machines from the Central Station put out the fire in a few minutes, preventing it from spreading to other shops in the twostorey building. A hole in the ceiling of the upholstery shop allowed smoke into the first floor, causing slight damage to the workroom of a commercial artist. The building is owned by the trustees of the Allison estate, and the upholstery business is owned by Mr Ivan Soutter.
