NO “STUNT” DEBATE
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) today rejected a proposal by the Leader of the Labour Party (Mr Nordmeyer) for a 20-minute television debate. “I regard a General Election campaign as a serious responsibility, and my concern is to present to the people the National Party’s positive policies,” said Mr Hoiyoake. “I see no point in confusing the issues with a ’stunt’ debate."
