New Fire Station Planned
The architect for the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board (Mr T. K. Collins) has been instructed to prepare sketch plans for the new station which is planned at Bryndwr, Mr J. R. Smith said at the board's meeting last night. The station, on a site at the corner of Wairakei and Wooldridge road, will give fire protection for the Christchurch Airport and the rapidly-spreading housing areas in the district.
