Racegoer Injured In Fall
When he fell down steps in, the new grandstand at the Addington Raceway yesterday afternoon, Arthur Edward Payne, of Springs road, Lincoln, suffered a broken nose and leg cuts that required stitches. The accident happened about 4.12 p.m. Mr Payne was taken by ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital and transferred to Burwood Hospital. His condition last evening was reported to be comfortable.
