SELWYN HUTS ROAD
Decision Against Sealing The Springston South Domain Board has decided not to seal the road between the Selwyn Huts. A letter received from the Ellesmere County Council at a board meeting on Saturday said that the cost of sealing the road would be £2350. 'Die board decided that this would be too expensive. The board agreed to give a donation of £2O towards the cost of a £l6O volley board for the tennis courts. The high level of Lake Ellesmere was the cause of water seeping into the refuse pit. Until the lake was opened to the sea shortly when the water would disappear, nothing could be done except to keep the pit disinfected, the board decided. The annual inspection of the huts by the board showed them to be in excellent order.
