Bowlers Were On Top Scoring was low in the Ellesmere sub-association’s senior matches on Saturday. Not one batsman passed 50. but there were several good bowling efforts. particularly bv C. Chatterton. I. Thomas and C. Heslop. Results were:— Dunsandel 114 (I. Adamson 31, I. Chamberlain 25, M. Frampton 24; C. Chatterton seven for 48) drew with Weedons 97 for six (P. Aitken 30. C. Tilson 21; M. Frampton three for 36). Irweli 143 (M. Dick 41. A. McMillan 34: I. Thomas five for 44, R. Brown three for 15) beat Southbridge 80 (L. Brown 16: C. Heslop five for 39. B Doak three for 14). Lincoln 130 for nine (I. Barclay 31. T. McGinchy 35 not out: M. McCullough four for 36. J. Nicol four for 33) beat Burnham 90 (J. Nicol 33. M. Newnham 24: A. Riordan seven for 30, A. Campbell three for 19). Points.—Leeston 24. Southbridge 16. Lincoln 26. Dunsandel 15, Irweli 10. Burnham 8, Weedons 7.
