Tatua Now Cup Favourite

Tatua, which according to an Australian report last night has become an outright favourite fo rthe Caulfield Cup and equal favurite with Summer Regent for the Melbourne Cup after his win in the Jeilicoe Handicap yesterday, is booked to leave for Melbourne by air from Wellington on September 18. It is unlikely that he will race in New Zealand meanwhile. Plans are for him to tackle weight-for-age events in Melbourne as a preliminary to the cups carnivals. According to the Australian report Tatua is now six points shorter than the second favourites. Summer Regent and Lei in the cups markets.
