Sections are also devoted to the potential hazards of weather, river crossings, and travel on snow, ice, rock, and scree. There are also chapters on shooting and ski-ing safety. First aid, and map and further reading references are also covered in the book. The new emergency code of signals, different from those in force in the past, is also included.
