Membership Up, Funds Down
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. Membership of the Public Service Association is up, but funds have fallen.
The annual report presented at the association's annual conference today showed that although membership had increased by 1230 to 39.242, there was a deficit of £2383 15s 7<j for the year ended March 31. The accumulated fund, however, has a balance of nearly £60,000. The report said subscriptions were increased last year, but their effect had not yet been felt.
