EXPLOSIVE COAL
Chimney Top Shattered (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 15. Explosive coal shattered the top of hts chimney on Sunday. said Mr E. A. Orr, of 152 Reynolds street. Talta, Hutt Valley. He said today a terrific explosion at lunch time on Sunday shattered the top of the chimney and terrified himself and his wife. "I found something which was shaped like an egg but in my opinion it was harder than steel. "The force of the explosion was terrifying and we thought the house was coming down • Mr Orr said this made the fourth explosion, all from the same brand, within two years. On one occasion he received insurance compensation for a damaged mat and carpet
