Petty Officer Stole Stores
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug 16. A petty officer in charge of stores of H.M.N.Z.S. Lachlan stole cash and stores amounting to £ 142 when he got into financial difficulties. Detective Sergeant B. T. N. Hutton said in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today. Before the Court was Lloyd Alexander Robertson, aged 24, who pleaded guilty to stealing £B5 and £3O and 50 pounds of duty-free tobacco valued at £27. Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., convicted Robertson and remanded him in custody for a week for sentence.
