Postmens’ Dispute
Sir, —I heartily endorse the posjmen’s action, and the hagth handed action orf a certain postmaster only goes to show what bureaucracv would do if it could. The nostalgia of certain correspondents for the “good old days” -hen the postman came “right to the door” is really too sad. Well, let them realise we are not slaves to this country, and we do not have to bow and seraipe to anyone: as in the “good old days.” Why cannot the soap megniaites take the packets round themselves? Seeing they are paying postage' it would be just as sensible to deliver it in their own vans In the meantone hats off to our postmen.—Yours, etc., R. DAVIS. July 24, 1963.
