Fatal Fall For Carpenter

MASTERTON, July 23. A carpenter died in Masterton today when he fell from an lift landing and struck the ground. He was: Alfred Howes, aged about 50. of Albert street, Masterton.
The accident occurred about 11.45 a.tn. while Mr Howes and a workmate, Mr James Wyse. were manoeuving a heavy wooden shop counter before lowering it to the ground.
