Sub-Union In Error
(N.Z. Press Association) WWUNGTQN. July 8. A reported decision of the Taumarunul Rugby subunion to give St. John Ambulance personnel, the power to order injured players from the field is wrong, the New Zealand Rngby Union executive said last night. It will ask the sub-union’s parent body, the King Country union, for further details of the ruling.
The final decision on whether a man left the field —apart from when the referee ordered him off—rested with the player himself, it was said.
