N.Z. Dancers On Ballet Tour

Dame Margot Fonteyn is to head a company of 10 stars of the Royal Ballet, including three New Zealand soloists, on a six-week world tour to open at the Athens Festival on August 9. It will take in Nice. Cannes, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoto, ending in Honolulu on September 22. The programme, including excerpts from the greatest items of the Royal Ballet’s repertoire, will consist of gala performances directed by Robert Helpmann. Soloists include the New Zealand dancers, Pamela Moncur, Alexander Grant, and Shirley Grahame.
