GUIDE DOGS FOR BLIND
‘Australia Sold On Value’
(N.Z. Press Association) • AUCKLAND, June 13. Members of the Round Table Association last night discussed details of setting up a national guide-dogs-for-the-blind group with the president of the South Australian Guide Dog Association, Mr Frank Beauchamp. “Guide dogs are a subject about which not much is known in New Zeeland.” Mr Beauchamp said yesterday. Regarding the opposition of the Foundation for the Blind and the Dominion Association for the Blind to the scheme, he said, “I can’t understand their feelings on the subject. Nearly everyone in Australia is sold on the value of dogs to the blind.”
