With a final round win by the wide margin of 6J games to 1J over its joint leader. Waimairi. Avondale won the Simon Cup for 1963. Avondale won all its matches and Waimairi had an unbeaten record until its loss yesterday. Avondale achieved a remarkably fine record for the season, winning 47 games to only nine lost. Waimairi had 36J wins.
