Conference “A Working One”

The export development conference which opens in Parliament Buildings ■ on Tuesday evening, is “a working conference for those who expo- 4 and who want to export,” the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) said today He told a press conference that about 220 persons would attend and take part in the three panels which will consider various aspects of export development. Mr Marshall said it was obvious that the Government was serious about the development of exports and it would do anything to promote it in a practical way He added that recommen dations from the conference would be dealt with as expe ditiously as possible
The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) will open the conference would be dealt with as expeditiously as possible
The Prime Minister (Mr Holyogke) will open the conference at a plenary session in the Legislative Council chamber on Tuesday evening, and Mr Marshall will give a keynote address. .
