Mr A E. Allen, M.P. for Franklin, will represent the Government in opening the Cook Islands Legislative Assembly next month. —(P.A.) Dr L. C. Kolb, professor of psychiatry at Columbia University, New York, and director of the New York State Psychiatric institute, made a brief visit to Christchurch last evening. Under the auspices of the Canterbury Mental Health Council he spoke on “social and psychological aspects of pain” to an inter-professional group of clergy, doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists and educationists.
