Rifle Shooting POSSIBLES IN ALL MATCHES

Waihora Marksman Outstanding

The Waihora shooter, L. J Eden, was easily the most successful marksman in the Christchurch Gun Club’s Easter carnival shoot at Yaldhurst on Saturday.

Eden recorded possibles in all matches, taking first trophy in two out of the three after shooting off from the maximum handicap mark. E. A. Elliott was top scorer to take first trophy in the third match. Runners-up were S. Glennie. A. Tomson and A. W. Fraser. Those to score the possibles were:— Match 1 (30 entries): A. W. Fraser, D. Christchurch And Malvern Draw

The annual match between the Malvern and Christchurch Rifle Clubs was fired at the Hororata range. Conditions were seven shots and two optional stghters each at 300. 500, and 600 yards. With the lowest scores counted out and the 10 highest scores counting, the match resulted in a draw.

L. Smith (Malvern) was top scorer with a total of 100, which included two possibles at 300 and 500 yards. Scores were:—
