Support had been given to the “pennies tor friendship” campaign, the Nurse Maude Association and the aged and a retired residents’ outing had been held, it was reported at the annual meeting of the Cheviot Country Women’s Institute Donations had been made to assist lepers and for an education grant to a Korean child
Winners of trophies were: Fuller cup, Mrs C. Honeybone; challenge cup, and Lily Dalgety memorial cup. Mrs I. Winskill; special prizes, Mesdames P. Childs and J. Walters. The following officers were elected: president, Mrs R. Lovell-Smith; vice-presidents, Mesdames L Walls and J. Kearns; secretary, Mrs J. Sillars; treasurer, Mrs J. Walters; committee, Mesdames P. Childs. E. Crossen, D. Harris.
