Games Runner In 10-Mile The Welsh Empire Games sixmile and marathon representative, T. Lansdown, will be a competitor in the Canterbury 10-mile running championship tomorrow. The race will begin in St. Martins at 2 p.m. However, Lansdown will not bt eligible for the title. He has been staying in New Zealand and it will be his first outing since the Perth Games. Although the title-holder, R. J. Stevens, will not be defending, a large field of nearly IS is expected to start. Likely contenders are the provincial marathon champion, G. T. Wilson, C. Reece, T. Preece, and B. Turner, the six-mile track champion.
Other major athletic events in Christchurch tomorrow are the finals of the boys' intersecondary schools’ championship and the girls' post-primary school titles. Both will be held at Rugby Park, the girls in the morning and the boys in the afternoon.
