(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 28. The news of the damage done to the historic statuary at Parliament Buildings today was given to the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) by an officer of his department as he left the Government caucus room early this afternoon. The Prime Minister’s first reaction was light-hearted but his manner turned grave as he heard the details of the damage to the effigies of former Prime Ministers.
