Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tbs winner will play Japan at Tokyo in the second round. The hot Manila weather has not been bothering New Zealand’s players, according to the manager, Mr A. S. Burns. “It is good, just like New Zealand’s hot days, and we are enjoying it,” Mr Burns said. He had brought his team to Manila early to give them time to become accustomed to th clay courts at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The New Zealanders, used to playing on grass courts, practised mornings and afternoons during their first three days here.
