Aberdonian Fears (Special Crspdt. SZf.A.) LONDON. Mar. 22. The effect of fluoride on whisky is preoccupying Aberdeen. While there is wpport for the fluridataon of Aberdeen’s waiter supply to reduce dental decay it has been pointed out that the character of the water is of paramount importance to Aberdeen’s whisky industry. It is maintained that any interference with the water might affect the whisky. The Health and Welfare Committee decided to deter for two yeacs the decision whether fluoridation should be introduced and to ask medical officers of health to report on other methods of making sodium fluoride available to the people who want it.
