Castle Flight made a smart beginning and running to the three furlongs, was four lengths clear of Omarsong with Windvale Lass next, ahead of Renteina and Sweet Solaria Omasong got within a length of Castle Flight at the furlong but was checked soon I after. Windvale lass finished! fast to win going away by a; length and a half. Castle; Flight beat the fast-finishing' Renteina by a nose for second with Omasong half a head back fourth. There was a length and a half then to Sweet Solaria which was followed in by Tundra, Misjudge, Eversley, Slantre Young Peter, Natavia and Seamai. I Win For Scuffle Scuffle, whose form had not been encouraging, wore down her stablemate. Vault, to win the Novice Stakes. The bracket was favourite and paid £2 11s.
