Choice Of Aircraft
Sir,—l trust that the wellmeaning folk who periodically wax indignant in your columns regarding past and contemplated purchases of American aircraft by our Government have noted the type selected by the Royal tour organisers for the safe and dependable air transport of Her Majesty the Queen and entourage. Incidentally, wihy no photographs of the Royal Boeing 707 in the newspapers? Was it because of a hint from the powers that be to soft-pedal as much as possible that there was not a British aircraft available capable of doing the job?— Yours, etc, AMUSED. February 19, 1963.
