The Queen’S Visit

Sir—The writer wishes to congratulate the Police Force on the wonderful way they did their duty at all times during the Queen’s visit. Their job was not easy in handling the crowds, and the way they handled the children was really a credit to them. At all times they saw to it that the little ones got to the front of the dense crowds. I am sure the parents of these children appreciate their work. I have in my time seen crowds and at no time have I seen such patience and attention paid to the young generation by the police. They are certainly to be thanked by one and all for the good work they did.—Yours, etc, LAW AND ORDER. . February 19, 1963.
