BRISBANE, Feb. 15. A win by 11-4 in a contest with the University of Queensland team under lights last evening gave the New Zealand Universities lawn tennis tourists an unbeaten record against university opposition. The New Zealanders showed good form compared with their previous display under lights. In a fine men's singles match the top Queensland University player, C. Bothwell, beat J. B. Souter in two sets.
Both players hit the ball very hard and went for their shots in good fashion. Souter, who wore spectacles, had more difficulty with the lights than did hig opponent, who is a fine hard-court player.
