Machine To Kill Midges
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 31. An £BOO fogging machine has been ordered by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board in its latest effort to overcome the Mangere midge problem. The machine, which kills midges on the wing with its fog spray, may also be used to combat midges from the North Shore Drainage Board’s ponds.
The machine, small enough to fit on a trailer, can produce up to 15,000 cubic feet of fog impregnated with insecticide a minute.
