Ski-ing RUAPEHU JUBILEE
Reunion Of Members (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. January 28. Veteran members and former members of the Ruapehu Ski Club gathered at the mountain at the week-end for a reunion. It wjj the first of a number of functions planned for this year to mark the dub’s jubilee. More than SO members spent some or all of the week-end at the dub's lodge on Mount Ruapehu. They included six of the II presidents who have led the dub in the last half century and many others who helped to lay the groundwork for the present popularity of ski-ing. They came from many parts of New Zealand and also from Australia. Members were welcomed by the president (Mr F. A. Hayward) but the gathering was completely informal. Ceremonies will be held later in the year.
