(NZ.PA.-Reuter— Copyright)
NEW YORK, January 28
A convict in America, Jim Gray, in Osceleola County Gaol, has offered his eyes to Margaret McKeown, the 20-month-old Glasgow baby who has a form of cancer of the eye. Surgeons in New York recently removed Margaret’s one remaining eye because it was affected by a cancerous growth. The convict had said he would be in gaol for several years and that as his life was no use to him during his long prison sentence, he wanted to offer his eyes to Margaret, her father said.
