Croquet Australians Win Test
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. January 27. Australia beat New Zealand, 5-4, in the Macßobertson Shield croquet test which concluded at Lower Hutt today. At the close of play yesterday the score was 4-4, Mrs H. Day (Australia) beating A. G. F. Ross in the vital final singles match today. Week-end results were:—
Mrs E Rudder (Australia) beat H. C. Ford. 26-17. 28-8; Mrs L. G. Middlemiss (New Zealand) beat Mrs C. H. Cathart, 26-10, 26-6; Mrs B. A. Jarden (New Zealand) beat L. Mason, 14-28, 26-18, 26-19; Mrs M. Harrison (Australia) beat A. J Stephens. 38-15, 22-26, 38-17; Mrs H. Day (Australia) beat A. G. F. Ross. 15-38, 26-9, 28-12.
