Cricket Two Centuries In Wellington

WELLINGTON. January 27. Outstanding performances in Wellington club cricket on Saturday came from the Karori Club team-mates. J. E. F. Beck, a former New Zealand representative, and J. E. Hammel a Wellington colts' representative.
Beck scored 108 not out and Hammel 109 not out against Wellington College Old Boys and put on 273 in a fifth-wicket partnership. Karori scored 322 for four declared la only 169 minutes. Beck scored his century in 113 minutes and Hammel hi* in only 76 minutes. Hammel's second M took only 21 minutes. In his 109 there were 12 fours and 6 sixes. Beck hit 15 fours and one five. The pair put up a century partnership in 45 minutes and the ■ double century in 80 minutes.
