NEW AWARD ISSUED
Power Board Clerks Wages increases of from £l2 to £32 a year for men and from £l2 to £33 a year for women are made in the Northern, Canterbury, Otago and Southland Electric Power Boards’ Officers’ and Clerical Workers’ award issued by the Arbitration Court. The wage increases are back-dated to December 1, and the award came into force on December 11 and will continue to June 11, 1964. The award does not apply to executive officers of the boards or men employees beng paid £1145, and women £7BO. a year, apart from overtime. The new rates of pay incorporate the effect of the general wage 'order of 2j per cent The award includes an unqualified preference clause.
