YOUTH BANQUET PLANNED
Missionary Team To Be Guests Mope than 200 members of tht North Canterbury Methodist Christian Youth Movement will attend a banquet at Mairehau High School this evening. It is the first function to be organised by the new district council The nine members of the missionary team who are going to work in the Solomon Islands next January will be guests at the banquet. They are in Christchurch this week-end for instruction and for planning the work they will do in the islands. The guest speaker will be Mr M. Nyoni, headmaster of an African secondary school at Dadaya, Southern Rhodesia. Mr Nyoni is studying at Victoria University of Welington on a Commonwealth scholarship. In 1964 he will return to Southern Rhodesia to be the first African principal in charge of a Church of Christ mission school.
